Supporting organizations in practicing diversity, equity, & inclusion with intention.
About the Founder & CEO
Hi, I’m Adrian. Thank you for visiting. I’m the Founder and CEO of AW DEI Consulting Inc. I’m originally from California and relocated to North Carolina in 2021. I live by the words of Maya Angelou: “Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better.”
I earned my B.A. in Sociology and my M.S. in Counseling Psychology, and I hold additional certifications from various academic institutions, most notably Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University.
Whether I’m facilitating trainings, delivering keynote speeches, or conducting qualitative interviews to evaluate workplace climate, I lead with empathy, cultural competency, and care.
When I’m not working, I’m serving in my community, attending church, traveling, and cherishing time with my wife, family, friends, and my pup, LaMelo.
Thanks again for being here. I invite you to submit an inquiry so we can talk more. I’d love to listen.
Mission & Vision
AW DEI Consulting Inc. emerged from my experience working within systems where the absence of psychological safety impacted both people and outcomes. Witnessing those effects made clear how urgently organizations need approaches that center care, accountability, and human dignity.
That clarity led me to this work—supporting organizations in practicing diversity, equity, and inclusion with intention, rather than by default.
I envision organizations becoming spaces where difference is not feared, avoided, or merely tolerated, but respected, honored, and valued. While we may never fully understand one another’s lived experiences, we can choose to treat them with care, dignity, and respect.
My hope is for workplaces where people are not reduced to roles, labels, or deliverables, but recognized as whole human beings whose lives and stories matter. When organizations commit to honoring people as they are—without requiring sameness—more humane, accountable, and psychologically safe ways of working become possible.
